It’s good to be back!

It’s good to be back! 2000 1333 Dairyman's Daughter

We’re a few days into our new opening schedule and the team here at The Dairyman’s Daughter we have enjoyed welcoming you all.

We’ve been busy making sure our outside seating area is ready and while we will try to stay open as much as possible, the weather may have other ideas. Just come prepared for chilly days, showers and even the sun… it’s a typically British time of year.

We do have a few house rules though:

  • When in a group, every member must fill in their contact details (unless under 16 years)
  • To avoid any confusion we will be adhering to groups of six per table only
  • Face coverings must be worn at all times, unless seated at your table (this includes when using the facilities)

Initially our opening hours will be:
Monday – Sunday: 10am – 6pm

We’re looking forward to seeing you, it’s been too long!

All the best,
Karen, Ewan and team.

December reopening

December reopening 2000 1333 Dairyman's Daughter

Dear customers,

The team at The Dairyman’s Daughter is looking forward to welcoming you back from Wednesday 2nd December!

We have been busy behind the scenes ensuring the pub is ready for your return. Making sure you have a safe, friendly and welcoming pub experience that you know and love. There’s also a little festive cheer, as we have put up our Christmas tree (from Farmer Jack’s at Arreton Barns) and decorated the pub. We will also have a Christmas themed menu to get you in the seasons spirit.

We have installed a bell system at each of our tables which will notify our staff that you would like to pay your bill or have any additions to your order.

Our opening hours will be from 10:30 to 23:00, with last food orders at 21:00, final call for drinks at 22:00 and we then require everyone to be off the premises for 23:00.

Booking a table is highly recommended, so please call 01983 539361. Please remember we are still operating the rule of six and require everyone to wear a face covering when entering, exiting and moving around the pub.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all soon.

All the best,
Karen, Ewan and team.

Dairymans Daughter - COVID-19 Update

An update for lockdown 2.0

An update for lockdown 2.0 1500 1000 Dairyman's Daughter

Dear customers,

As we enter another lockdown, we wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has supported us. We appreciate it!

Since reopening in July we have strived to bring you the same traditional pub you have come to know and love, even with the safety restrictions in place. We wanted to thank you for bearing with us as we adapted to these and trialed new practices and procedures.

It is with a heavy heart, we are closing our doors once again. Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel with a scheduled reopening date of 2nd December. We understand the Government’s need to control the virus, and as always the health and safety of our customers and staff is the most important thing to us.

We hope you stay safe and well during November and we hope to see you in the run up to Christmas.

Best wishes,
Karen, Ewan and the  team at The Dairyman’s Daughter

January 2020 at The Dairyman’s Daughter

Thanks for your support

Thanks for your support 2000 1333 Dairyman's Daughter

We’re now almost at the end of August, and getting back into the swing of things as we make changes to accomodate to the ‘new normal’ many pubs, restaurants and cafes have had to adapt to. The support from our customers both old and new has been fantastic, and we can’t thank you enough for continuing to support your local pub and the hospitality industry as a whole.

We’ve been participating in the governments ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, allowing diners who eat-in to benefit from a 50% discount, up to a maximum of £10 per person, on food and non-alcoholic drinks, any Monday to Wednesday in August 2020. Diners have been able to take advantage of the offer as many times as they like during the month, and we’ve been inundated with bookings for these days.

As the scheme draws to a close, we’d like to thank our customers who have been supportive and patient during these challenging times.  Our staff have been adapting to new service procedures including table service, increased cleaning and social distancing.

Though the vast majority of our customers have been supportive of these changes, unfortunately a small minority have not. We politely remind customers that we do not condone abusive behaviour to our staff in any capacity.  Please remember when you visit, you may find service is slightly delayed, some menu items may be unavailable, or you may be asked to wait whilst we clean and prepare your dining area.

Our staff have been working tirelessly to ensure your visit is as comfortable and safe as possible, we simply ask for your patience and understanding during these challenging times.

We have also experienced a high-number of bookings, especially for the days of which the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme has been running. Although we’re trying our best to accommodate all customers, we have extremely limited availability now until the end of August.  We remind customers to pre-book when possible to avoid disappointment (remember your booking is not confirmed until a member of our team contacts you back), we’ll be continuing to hold some tables for walk-ups on a first come first served basis.

We have a fantastic team who have pulled together to bring your favourite pubs back to life, we really appreciate all our customers who have continued to support us and for their patience and understanding.

Thank you, and we hope to see you soon.

Revised menus from 4th July

We’re looking forward to reopening on Saturday 4th July and will be starting with a reduced menu for both food and drinks. Unfortunately, we will also be unable to offer roast lunches for the first Sunday on 5th July. We’ll be keeping many of our most popular dishes and hope to be bringing back more options very soon. All tables will be non-smoking, although we do have a dedicated smoking area.

Track & Trace

We will be complying with the government’s track and trace recommendations, therefore all customers will be required to register their details upon arrival. This is for the safety of our staff and other customers.

Dogs welcome outside

As you know, we have always been a very dog-friendly pub. However, from 4th July we will only be able to welcome our four legged friends to our outside seating areas. This is due to the requirement for social distancing and the lack of space inside.

We hope you understand and look forward to seeing you soon.

We’re reopening on Saturday 4th July 2000 1333 Dairyman's Daughter

Dear customers,

The team here at The Dairyman’s Daughter is looking forward to welcoming you back from Saturday, 4th July.

We’ve been busy rearranging the pub to comply with the latest government guidelines. Also we will be introducing table service, which for us will be a whole new ball game. There may be some hiccups in the first few weeks, so please be patient and bear with us.

Initially our opening hours will be from 10am to 6pm to help us adjust to the many changes. We will be able to take limited bookings inside the pub, but only by email request please.

We’re looking forward to seeing you, it’s been too long!

Coronavirus 2020

Coronavirus 2020 2000 1333 Dairyman's Daughter

We are very aware and mindful of our customers’ concerns in relation to the worldwide outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid-19).

We would like to reassure our customers that we are proactively taking the necessary precautions, including not leaving cutlery in public spaces, issuing disposable menus and removing sauce and salt and pepper bottles from the tables. It is a work in progress but we are doing all that we can to help combat the spread of the virus within our pubs.

We’d ask that customers are also mindful to ensure the wellbeing of others. For example remembering to wash your hands before and after eating (sing happy birthday while washing hands).

We want to ensure visiting us is an enjoyable experience as always. Thank you for understanding and cooperating at this time.
